Grime Sparring in the WEARHAUS

Concept art placeholder

“Two entities meet in a dimly lit production room. One drops from a neon portal. The other is already there, leaning against the console, smirking. They fight. There’s a SpiceX arcade cabinet. It gets destroyed. It reboots. They laugh.”

Beat: Grime Fight Beat — SoundCloud

1. The Room

WEARHAUS.

Same layout. Same neon accents. But darker — everything pushed toward silhouette so the only readable detail is you against the desk and the SpiceX cabinet behind you, glowing faintly like it knows what’s about to happen.

The cabinet is old hardware: scanlines, chipped paint, two buttons and a joystick that don’t match the original panel. Screen reads INSERT COIN in a glitched 8-bit font.

2. The Portal

Pink neon. Not blue portal energy — this is different. It suggests something escaped, not something summoned.

Cleetus drops out of it in a crouch. The impact lands on the first skank snare of the track. Camera holds. Three frames of stillness. Then the beat drops.

3. The Fight Choreo

Track structure informs every hit:

intro — the skank (0:00-0:10) Two figures already in the frame. Nothing moves except the beat dictating their weight shift.

first exchange (0:10-0:25) Footwork matches the 2-step snare pattern exactly. Jab → slip → counter → block → kick → duck. Freeze frame on the womp. White color flash. Hits land in pairs.

cabinet chaos (0:25-0:40) Heavy bass section. Someone gets launched backwards. The cabinet takes damage on impact. Screen glitches. When it stabilizes the text has changed: PLAYER 2 JOINED.

combo window (0:40-0:55) Rapid six-hit trading. Each hit lands on a snare transient. Hitstop + freeze frame every time. Parries spark pink particles. One character bounces off the back wall like a platformer.

climax / distortion (0:55-1:15) The cabinet begins screaming. Pixelated screen tear. Special move beams fired from both fighters collide in center frame. Then — silence.

outro (1:15+) Both slumped on opposite walls. Cabinet destroyed, screen flickering GAME OVER before dying. They look at each other. They laugh. Cleetus honks. A portal opens behind him. The cabinet flickers back on. NEW BOSS UNLOCKED.

4. The Easter Eggs (multi-layer)

The scene isn’t just a fight. It’s a trailer:

element meaning
SpiceX cabinet Cleetus’s 3D model audition for the arcade content line
“PLAYER 2 JOINED” two playable characters being teased
“NEW BOSS UNLOCKED” more fighters coming
the portal mechanics ties directly into schizodio / schizophoria systems
cabinet plays 8-bit rendition audio easter egg; blend original track

5. The LMAO Layer

This only works if people smile while watching it:

  • Cleetus’ hat flies off on impact, impales the cabinet screen, stays there for the rest of the scene
  • Both fighters pause mid-combo to check a notification on the DAW, then immediately resume
  • The “clown horn bazooka” is literally just holding the horn sideways
  • When one character hits the other into the wall, pink cheeks squish for 2 frames
  • Cabinet graphic changes mid-fight to show both pixel sprites fighting each other

6. Production Next Steps

  • Lock the exact grime track and extract waveform with transient markers
  • Export cleaned audio WAV for animatic timing
  • Import SpiceX cabinet model into WEARHAUS scene
  • Block portal opening / fight choreo in rough animatic
  • Decide: standalone short, intro sequence, or both

written while waiting for the beat grid.
